Somatic Individual & Couples Therapy in Ohio, North Carolina & Illinois
For adults and couples who function well on the outside - but feel overwhelmed underneath.
You're self-aware. You've probaby done therapy before. You understand your patterns, and something still feels stuck. What you're looking for isn't more talking about it. You're ready to actually feel the difference- therapy that meets you deeper than words.
You've been carrying this awhile.
Maybe it shows up as tension you can't shake, even when like looks fine from the outside. A distance from your partner that's grown harder to bridge. Anxiety that lingers no matter how much you manage it. A sense that you've lose touch with who you actually are underneath all the responsibilities.

You're not broken. You're not failing. You're carrying more than anyone around you probably realizes. But you're ready for it to actually shift.
You might recognize:
-
Repeating the same conflict with your partner without it ever really resolving

-
Anxiety or stress that lives in your body even when your mind knows things are OK

-
Feeling capable and competent on the outside, worn down and disconnected on the inside

-
A sense that weekly therapy has helped, but hasn't gotten you all the way there

-
Distance from yourself: your needs, your feelings, who you are when you're not performing OK

Whatever's bringing you in, we start there.
A Different Kind
of Therapy
Most therapy asks you to talk about what's hard. This goes further. Somatic therapy words with your nervous system- not just your thoughts. It's based on the understanding that stress, trauma, and relational pain don't jsut live in your mind. They live in your body, your patterns, the way you brace or shut down or reach out. Real change happens when we work with all of it.

Here, that means drawing on emotionally focused therapy (EFT), brainspotting and EMDR, internal family systems (IFS), and somatic and nervous system-based approaches- woven together based on what you actually need, not a rigid protocol.

There's room here to slow down. To feel what's happening instead of just analyzing it. To stop performing just okay, and to start finding your way back to yourself.

Sessions may look different than any therapy you've done before- and that's intentional. That's what's possible here.

Ways We Can Work Together
For individuals and couples ready to stop circling the same patterns. Extended, private-pay sessions that go deeper than the 50-minute hour- without stopping mid-process or waiting a week to continue. This isn't regular talk therapy, and it won't feel like it.
For partners caught in painful cycles who want to reconnect, communicate differently, and rebuild safety — not just manage conflict.
For adults who feel capable on the outside but overwhelmed underneath. We’ll work through anxiety, burnout, life transitions, identity shifts, and the patterns that keep you stuck.
How to Get Started

1. Schedule a consultation - A brief call to understand what's bringing you in and make sure we're a good fit.
2. Choose the format that fits - Weekly therapy or a focused intensive, depending on where you are right now.
3. Begin work that actually goes somewhere - Somatic, relational, and grounded in what you need.

This is my first time doing therapy and it has been a very positive experience. Aidan is very empathetic to my situation and problems; I always get the sense that she understands why I feel the way I do. It helps a great deal to have someone to talk through my feelings with each week.
Aidan is phenomenal. I truly FEEL her listening and understanding me. No other therapist had to date. The first session she explained so much about how it works and what her responses mean or don't mean. Established trust right out of the gate. I'm so glad I continued my search for a good fit!
In between our weekly sessions, I miss talking with Aidan! She brings such calmness to a storm I'm living through right now and feels so safe for me to just word vomit. I respect her responses and feedback because I know she respects my position and feelings. So grateful to have continued my search for the right fit and connect with Aidan.

About Aidan
I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist working with adults and couples in Ohio, North Carolina, and Illinois. My approach is somatic and relational, meaning we work with what's happening in your body and your nervous system, not just what you can put into words. I use emotionally focused therapy, brainpotting, EMDR, internal family systems, and somatic approaches. I draw from all of them based on what you actually need in the room.

While my title includes "marriage and family", my work isn't limited to couples. It means I'm trained to look at the full system around you.How your relationships, history, nervous system, and patterns all interact. That's where real change becomes possible.

My style is collaborative and steady, with room for honesty, gentle challenge, and even humor. Therapy is a space where you don’t have to perform or meet expectations — it’s your hour to be fully human, without performance.
